Nobody holds your money. Every payment goes straight from the payer's bank to your account, initiated by an entity authorized by the FCA (UK) and BaFin (Germany) and passported across the EEA. Our partners are certified to the highest market standards.

EU Regulation

In account-to-account payments the money never sits on a UrbanPay balance. It travels directly from the payer's bank to your account, with no intermediate balance to hold and no counterparty risk. If UrbanPay disappeared tomorrow, your money would be where it always was: in your bank. Payment initiation is provided by an entity authorized by the FCA and BaFin, passported across the EEA, and our infrastructure is ready for the transition to PSD3 when it comes into force.
